Bio Poem

Leila
Is fun, awesome, annoying and creative
Daughter of Teresa and Daniel
Lover of chocolate, pancakes and milkshakes
Who feels happy when its the school holidays
Feels sad when its school time.
Feels angry when she gets annoyed.
Who is proud of being good and doing great at school so I can go to Australia for a holiday
Who admires my family because they’re good role models and all of them are different, which is good as I have alot to learn from them.
Who fears not watching t.v, having no internet and listening to no music.
Who would like to see people making chocolate
Who lives in New Zealand

My brother's 5th Birthday

In the holidays on the 3rd of January it was my brother's 5th birthday. My brother's name is Rocky. At Rocky's 5th birthday he had a bar-barque at the pakuranga swimming pools. The theme for the birthday party was pirates. I was in charged of the Treasure Island. During Rocky's birthday the little kids got to swim while the adults and other kids were still in the party room talking. The rule at the party was if a little kid wanted to go swimming like age 9 and down they had to be supervised by an adult. I didn't swim because I was helping my mum organise the candy buffet.
As you can see there are chocolate bars, little chippies and strings, lollipops, mini toys, chocolate muffins, and snakes. There are little mini coins spread out on the table. There are also little treasure boxes that are on the table to. In some treasure boxes there are jelly beans inside. This birthday party was so awesome I had heaps of fun.

Life Education

Life Education

On Tuesday we had our first session in the Life Education caravan. After the session Clair (the teacher who was teaching us through our session) gave out booklets about W.O.F.  W.o.f  stands for Warrant of Fitness. Clair was teaching us about what to eat and what not to eat.
-These are my questions:

1. Who decides what to eat?
The person that decides what to eat in the family is we all take turns like on Monday my aunty chooses what to eat and then the next person.

2. What food do you see advertised?
The type of food that you see advertised on t.v and other places are..... Fast food, vegetables, chocolate, doughnuts, Fizzy Drinks, and water

3.What should you drink?
The drink that you should drink every day is water.
There are some other drinks that are good for you like  Ribena.

Netbook Statement

Netbook Reflection:
Hi my name is Leila and I am a year 7 student at Panmure Bridge School.  This is my netbook reflection for 2012.

There are positive things about having a netbook, such as we can create presentations, we can comment on other classes or other school’s blog.  Our netbooks have spell check which is faster to mark the misspelled words, we have google docs which is easier for the teacher to mark our work, and the teacher can leave comments on our work so we can fix them.

Having a netbook can be really awesome but there are some negative things about having a netbook such as, you can have bad handwriting because you have been typing a lot on your netbook.  Some people can be on the wrong sites, and sometimes the internet is slow and your netbook might have been frozen so you would have to restart your netbook.

The unusual things about our netbooks is we have shortcuts, You can change the font to what you want, I found the google docs unusual because when I log in to my documents the google docs version has changed.

My Mum

Her hair is straight
like cardboard.

Her eyes are two
round maltesers.

Her hugs are warm and soft
as she squeezes me in her arms.

I love my mum so much
but she loves me more.

Day and Night

In the day students engage and teachers search for test papers on top of their messy desk.

In the night robbers loot the classroom and mice stare at them from on top of the solid desk.
